What we collect

We do not run accounts, comment systems or newsletters on this site. The message tool on our contact page works entirely in your browser; nothing you type is sent to us unless you choose to email it. If you email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include in your message.

Our hosting provider may record standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.

Why we use it

We use email correspondence to reply to you and improve our guides (legitimate interest). Server logs are used to protect the site from abuse (legitimate interest).

How long we keep it

Emails are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Server logs are kept for no longer than 30 days.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site and email, under contracts that protect your data, or where the law requires it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your data, object to processing and request portability. Write to us at the address above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

Our projects are for all ages, but we ask that under-13s have a parent or guardian contact us on their behalf.
